Denzel Washington is in talks to star in Universal Pictures' thriller "Safe House."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Espinosa ("Snabba Cash") is directing from a David Guggenheim script. Scott Stuber is producing.
The film follows the only surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house as he tries to get a dangerous prisoner (Washington) to another safe house before they are both taken out by the attackers.
Washington recently won his first Tony Award in June for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in August Wilson’s "Fences." He also completed filming on Tony Scott’s "Unstoppable," which Fox will release in November.
