Law, Winstone to be part of Scorsese's 'Cabret'

Jude Law and Ray Winstone have joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's 3D children's film "The Invention of Hugo Cabret."
They join a cast that includes Asa Butterfield as the title character, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory, Richard Griffiths, Frances de la Tour, Sacha Baron Cohen and Ben Kingsley.
According to Variety, Graham King's GK Films is producing.
John Logan ("The Aviator") adapted the screenplay from Brian Selznick's best-selling children's book "The Invention of Hugo Cabret."
The story centers on a 12-year-old orphan named Hugo, who lives in a train station and must solve the mystery of a broken robot.
Shooting began Tuesday in London. Sony will release the film on Dec. 9, 2011.
