'Dinner' pushed back a week
By Adnan Tezer Jun 11, 2010, 7:44 GMT
The release date of Paramount and DreamWorks Studios’ "Dinner for Schmucks" has been pushed back by one week, from July 23 to July 30.
According to Variety, the move will give the film more distance between Warner Bros.' Leonardo DiCaprio-starring "Inception," opening July 16 and Sony's Angelina Jolie-starring "Salt," opening July 23.
"Schmucks" is directed by Jay Roach and stars Paul Rudd and Steve Carell.
The film is a remake of the Francis Veber French comedy "Le Diner de cons" and revolves around a publisher who holds a weekly dinner party where his friends are to bring along the most pathetic guest possible.
