Tennant and Mintz-Plasse take part in 'Fright Night'

David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse have joined the cast of DreamWorks’ remake of the 1985 cult film "Fright Night."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Craig Gillespie is directing. Michael De Luca and Alison R. Rosenzweig are producing.
Anton Yelchin has been cast as Charlie, a teen convinced that his new neighbor (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. Toni Collette plays Yelchin’s skeptical mother.
Tennant will play Peter Vincent, who in the original movie was played by Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show. In the remake, he’ll be a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery.
Mintz-Plasse will play Evil Ed, Yelchin’s best friend.
Tennant is best known for starring in the BBC series "Doctor Who." Mintz-Plasse has appeared in the films "Superbad" and "Kick-Ass."
