'Shrek' beats out 'Persia' and 'Sex'

DreamWorks Animation and Paramount’s 3D family comedy "Shrek Forever After" won its second weekend in a row with $55.7 million over the four-day Memorial Day holiday weekend.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, its domestic cumulative stands at $145.5 million.
Disney's Jerry Bruckheimer-produced adventure "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" opened in second place with $37.8 million.
Warner Bros.' "Sex and the City 2" opened at No. 3 with $37.1 million over the weekend. Another $14.2 million from its first day in release on Thursday gave the film a five-day opening of $51.4 million.
Paramount's "Iron Man 2" finished at No. 4 with $20.6 million for a domestic cumulative of $279.2 million.
Universal’s "Robin Hood" came in at No. 5 with $13.6 million for a domestic cumulative of $86.3 million.
