John Hurt completes the 'Melancholia'

John Hurt has rounded out the cast of Lars von Trier’s new disaster movie "Melancholia."
He joins a cast that includes Kirsten Dunst, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlotte Rampling, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Udo Kier, Stellan Skarsgård and his son, Alexander Skarsgård.
The $7.5 million production starts shooting July 19 in Trollhattan, Sweden.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, plot points have been scarce but the film has been described by Peter A. Jensen, head of von Trier's production firm, Zentropa, as a "beautiful film about the end of the world."
Zentropa Denmark is producing with Slot Machine in France, Zentropa International in Cologne, Sweden's Memfis Film and Trollhattan Film. Meta Louise Foldager, who produced von Trier’s last film, "Antichrist," and Louise Vesth will produce.
