'Nightmare' scares up box office

Warner Bros. and New Line’s reboot of the 1984 horror classic "A Nightmare on Elm Street" won the top spot at the domestic box office over the weekend.
According to Variety, the film opened to $32.2 million.
Paramount and DreamWorks Animations' 3D cartoon "How to Train Your Dragon" came in second in its sixth weekend of release with $10.8 million for a cumulative of $192.4 million.
Fox's "Date Night" came in third with $7.6 million for a cumulative of $73.6 million.
CBS Films' "The Back-up Plan" came in fourth with $7.2 million for a cumulative of $22.9 million.
Summit's kid film "Furry Vengeance" opened fifth with $6.5 million.
