By Adnan Tezer May 3, 2010, 18:13 GMT
Warner Bros. will release the next "Batman" film on July 20, 2012 with Christopher Nolan returning to direct.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there is no title at this point other than "Batman 3" and no start date.
David Goyer is working with Nolan's brother Jonathan Nolan on a script, based on an idea from Christopher Nolan.
Christopher Nolan and Goyer rebooted the franchise in 2005 by co-writing "Batman Begins," which went on to earn $352 million worldwide. The 2008 follow-up "The Dark Knight," co-written by the Nolans with Goyer helping develop the story, earned $1 billion worldwide.
Nolan’s upcoming film "Inception" opens July 16.
