Gere and Grace ask for a 'Double'

Richard Gere and Topher Grace have signed on to star in Hyde Park and Imagenation Abu Dhabi's espionage thriller "The Double."
The film will mark the directing debut of Michael Brandt, who along with his writing partner Derek Haas wrote "Wanted" and "3:10 to Yuma."
The story begins with the mysterious murder of a senator bearing the marks of a Soviet assassin, who was long thought to be dead. A retired CIA operative (Gere), who spent his career chasing the assassin, is brought out of retirement and teamed with a young FBI agent (Grace).
According to Variety, shooting begins in June in Detroit.
Hyde Park's Ashok Amritraj and Patrick Aiello are producing with Haas and Industry Entertainment's Andrew Deane.
Gere's recent films include "Brooklyn's Finest" and "Amelia."
Grace next stars in 20th Century Fox's "Predators." He most recently appeared in "Valentine's Day."
