Owen joins the 'Elite'

Clive Owen will star opposite Jason Statham in the action-thriller "The Killer Elite."
According to Variety, shooting is set to begin next month in Australia with Irish director Gary McKendry directing.
Michael Boughen is producing with Steve Chasman and Joni Sighvatsson. Christopher Mapp, Matthew Street and David Whealy are executive producing.
"The Killer Elite," based on Ranulph Fiennes' novel "The Feather Men," revolves around a group of former British special forces members being hunted by a team of assassins led by Statham's character, a former Navy Seal.
Owen will play a member of a secret group protecting former special forces soldiers and their families.
Owen was recently cast in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's "Intruders" and will be next seen in "Trust."
