Greta Gerwig has been cast in Paramount’s untitled Ivan Reitman romantic comedy opposite Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.
According to Variety, they join a cast that includes Kevin Kline, Ophelia Lovibond and Ben Lawson.
Reitman is directing from Elizabeth Meriwether's script.
The film, previously known as "Friends With Benefits," focuses on whether two long-term friends can have a purely sexual relationship without having a serious commitment.
Gerwig will play a brainy friend of Portman's character.
A Jan. 7, 2011 release date has been set.
Reitman's Montecito Picture Co. is producing along with Portman's handsomecharliefilms production company and Kutcher's Katalyst production company.
This will be Gerwig’s first role since starring with Ben Stiller in "Greenberg."
