Julie Christie and Gary Oldman are in talks to join Warner Bros. gothic horror reimagining of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale, "The Girl With the Red Riding Hood."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Catherine Hardwicke is directing.
Amanda Seyfried has already been cast as a woman in a medieval village being terrorized by a werewolf. Earlier this week, Shiloh Fernandez booked the role of an orphaned woodcutter for whom Seyfried falls, much to the displeasure of her family.
Max Irons, the son of actor Jeremy Irons, has been cast as the son of a blacksmith set to marry Seyfried's character through arrangement.
Christie, who would make her first studio movie since 2004's "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," would play Seyfried's grandmother.
Oldman, who was last seen in "The Book of Eli," would play Father Soloman, a man whose job it is to find and kill the werewolf.
Irons last appeared in 2009s "Dorian Gray."
