By Adnan Tezer Apr 21, 2010, 21:30 GMT
Daniel Dae Kim ("Lost") will join Samuel L. Jackson and Kellan Lutz in "Deathgames," the action thriller from Motion Picture Corporation of America.
Jonah Loop, a former visual effects supervisor, is making his directorial debut with the film.
Shooting begins next month in Louisiana.
The story centers on a young man (Lutz) who is kidnapped and forced into a modern gladiator arena, where men fight to the death for the entertainment of the online masses.
Kim will play a fellow prisoner who is a master of kendo (samurai-style sword fighting).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad Krevoy and Mike Callaghan are producing with Mark Williams.
Kim, who is wrapping up the sixth and final season of the ABC show "Lost," filmed a co-starring role in the pilot of CBS' "Hawaii Five-O" remake.
