Letterman, Stoller back together on 'Stretch Armstrong'

Universal has hired Rob Letterman to direct and Nick Stoller to rewrite the script for their "Stretch Armstrong" project.
Letterman and Stoller previously collaborated on the upcoming "Gulliver's Travels" where Stoller wrote the script and Letterman directed.
Steve Oedekerk wrote the original screenplay of "Stretch Armstrong." No plot details have been released.
According to Variety, Taylor Lautner has been cast in the title role based on the popular Hasbro action figure from the 1970s that was only 13 inches tall, but was able to stretch nearly four feet.
Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer is producing along with Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir for Hasbro.
Letterman also directed "Monsters vs. Aliens."
Writer-director Stoller directed "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and the upcoming comedy "Get Him to the Greek."
