Sebastian Stan ready to back up 'Captain America'

Sebastian Stan will play Captain America’s sidekick Bucky Barnes in Marvel's "The First Avenger: Captain America."
Barnes is an orphan who discovers Captain America's true identity and teams up with him to fight the Nazis. He later becomes the assassin Winter Soldier.
Chris Evans recently signed on for the role of Captain America.
According to Variety, Joe Johnston will direct for Paramount with a July 22, 2011 release date set.
Production is set to begin this summer.
Stan had recurring roles on the CW's "Gossip Girl" and NBC's "Kings." His film credits include the comedy "Hot Tub Time Machine" as well as the upcoming thrillers "The Apparition" and "Black Swan."
