'Dragon' slays the box office

Paramount and DreamWorks Animation's 3D cartoon "How to Train Your Dragon" took out the competition as it won the domestic box office in its opening weekend with $43.3 million.
According to Variety, Disney’s 3D "Alice in Wonderland" finished No.2 with $17.3 million for a domestic cumulative of $293.1 million. The film had been the reigning box office champion for the previous three weeks.
MGM's John Cusack time-travel comedy "Hot Tub Time Machine" debuted at No.3 with $13.7 million.
Sony's "The Bounty Hunter" finished No.4 with $12.4 million for a domestic cumulative of $38.8 million.
20th Century Fox's "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" finished No.5 with $10 million for a domestic cumulative of $35.8 million.
