Jayma Mays part of 'Smurfs'

Jayma Mays has booked the female human lead in Sony's live-action/animated version of "The Smurfs."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mays will play the pregnant wife of the lead Smurf, to be voiced by Neil Patrick Harris.
Hank Azaria will voice Gargamel, the enemy of the Smurfs.
Jonathan Winters, George Lopez, Katy Perry and Alan Cumming have also been cast.
Raja Gosnell is directing from a script by David N. Weiss, J. David Stem, Jay Sherick and David Ronn.
Mays is best known for playing the guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury on Fox’s "Glee." Her other credits include "Heroes" and "Ugly Betty."
Azaria has voiced numerous characters on "The Simpsons."
