Pepper has 'True Grit'

Barry Pepper has joined the cast of Paramount’s Coen Brothers remake of Henry Hathaway's 1969 western classic "True Grit."
Pepper will play the role of outlaw "Lucky" Ned Pepper, who was played by Robert Duvall in the original.
According to Variety, Pepper joins a cast that includes Matt Damon, Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin and Hailee Steinfeld.
The story follows Mattie Ross (Steinfeld), a fourteen year old girl, who seeks revenge on the man who killed her father. She enlists the help of an alcoholic U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogburn (Bridges).
John Wayne won an Oscar for best actor for his portrayal of Cogburn in the original.
Ethan and Joel Coen will direct from their own script. Scott Rudin is producing alongside the Coens. Steven Spielberg is executive producing.
Pepper's credits include "Saving Private Ryan" and "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada."
