Joseph Gordon-Levitt has replaced James McAvoy as the lead in Summit/Mandate's comedy formerly titled "I'm With Cancer."
According to Variety, Summit announced Tuesday that McAvoy had left the production "due to unrelated circumstances beyond his control."
Gordon-Levitt will star opposite Seth Rogen, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard, Anjelica Huston and Philip Baker Hall.
The film is directed by Jonathan Levine from a script by Will Reiser.
The story deals with a man in his 20s (Gordon-Levitt) as he battles cancer.
Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin are producing. Reiser is executive producing alongside Mandate president Nathan Kahane.
Gordon-Levitt recently starred in "(500) Days of Summer" and will appear in the upcoming "Inception."
