Justin Timberlake has booked the male lead in the Cameron Diaz comedy "Bad Teacher."
Jake Kasdan is directing from a script by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky for Columbia.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Molly Shannon and Eric Stonestreet ("Modern Family") have also been cast.
Story centers on a foul-mouthed, greedy middle-school teacher (Diaz) who, after being dumped by her boyfriend, competes with a rival teacher (Punch), who is dating the school's model teacher (Timberlake).
Jason Segel has been cast in the supporting role of a gym teacher, and John Michael Higgins will play the school principal.
Jimmy Miller is producing the film, which starts shooting this month in Los Angeles.
Timberlake recently wrapped a co-starring role in Columbia's "The Social Network."
