Jason Segel likes his 'Teacher'

Jason Segel will star opposite Cameron Diaz in "Bad Teacher" for Columbia Pictures.
According to Variety, John Michael Higgins has also joined the cast that includes Lucy Punch.
Jake Kasdan is directing from a script by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Jimmy Miller is producing.
Story centers on a crass, gold-digging middle-school teacher who competes with another female teacher for the affections of the school's model teacher.
Segel plays a gym teacher while Higgins plays the principal of the school.
The model teacher lead has not been cast yet.
Shooting begins next month in Los Angeles.
Segel, whose film credits include "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "I Love You, Man," recently wrapped the Fox comedy "Gulliver's Travels." Higgins has appeared in "Couples Retreat," "The Ugly Truth" and "The Break-Up."
