50 Cent takes the ball

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Randall Emmett will produce "Things Fall Apart," through their Cheetah Vision Films production company.
According to Variety, Mario Van Peebles will direct from a script by Jackson and Brian Miller.
The film focuses on a star college football running back, played by Jackson, who faces several challenges while in his senior year.
Van Peebles, Lynn Whitfield, comedian Mike P and Steve Eastin will also star.
The film is scheduled to begin five weeks of shooting in May in Michigan.
Brandon Grimes and Scott Robinson are co-producing.
Jackson's film credits include "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," "Righteous Kill" and Joel Schumacher's "Twelve," which recently premiered at Sundance.
