Summit picks up Rogen-McAvoy comedy

Summit Entertainment has acquired North American rights to the Seth Rogen-James McAvoy comedy formerly known as "I'm With Cancer."
According to Variety, Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard have also joined the cast.
Shooting is scheduled to begin later this month in Vancouver.
The film will be directed by Jonathan Levine ("The Wackness") from a script by Will Reiser.
Rogen is producing along with producing partner Evan Goldberg and former "Daily Show" executive producer Ben Karlin. Reiser is executive producing along with Mandate Pictures president Nathan Kahane.
The film is based on the real-life experiences of screenwriter Reiser, who successfully battled cancer in his mid-20s. McAvoy will play Reiser’s screen incarnation.
