Kathy Bates and Whoopi Goldberg are the latest actors to join the cast of The Film Department's "Earthbound."Kate Hudson, Gael Garcia Bernal, Rosemany DeWitt, Lucy Punch, Romany Malco, Steven Weber and Treat Williams have already been cast.According to Variety, production began January 18 in New Orleans.Nicole Kassell ("The Woodsman") is directing from a screenplay by Gren Wells.The film centers on a free spirited, terminally ill young woman (Hudson) who unexpectedly falls in love with her doctor (Bernal). John Davis, Mark Gill, Robert Katz and Adam Schroeder are producing with Neil Sacker and Michael Goguen executive producing.
