'Enchanted' gets a sequel

Disney has greenlit a sequel to their 2007 hit "Enchanted."
According to Variety, Jessie Nelson has been hired to write the script for the live action fairy tale that director Anne Fletcher ("The Proposal") will direct.
Fletcher is a choreographer-turned-director who also directed "Step Up" and "27 Dresses."
Nelson's writing credits include "Because I Said So," "The Story of Us" and "Stepmom." She also wrote and directed "I Am Sam," and produced "Fred Claus."
Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld will produce.
The 2007 film, that starred Amy Adams, James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey and Susan Sarandon, earned more than $340 million worldwide and $123 million domestically.
The studio is hoping to bring back the original cast.
