Cast set for 'Castro's Daughter'

Paz Vega, Daniel Bruhl and Mia Maestro have been cast in the independent drama "Castro's Daughter."
Vega would be playing Fidel Castro's exiled daughter, Alina Fernandez. Fernandez was the result of a love affair Castro had prior to taking power in Cuba, and grew up hidden in the shadows of her father and the Revolution. Later on in her life, she began speaking out against Castro and the Revolution and became a dissident forbidden to leave Cuba. In 1993, after several failed attempts, she fled Cuba.
According to Variety, shooting begins in Puerto Rico in late spring.
Bobby Moresco, who co-wrote "Crash" with Paul Haggis, is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Nilo Cruz.
