Gibson looking to be a 'Cold Warrior'
By Adnan Tezer Jan 28, 2010, 18:56 GMT
Mel Gibson is in talks to star in Universal Pictures' spy thriller "Cold Warrior."
This would reunite Gibson with "Lethal Weapon" writer Shane Black, who is directing.
Chuck Mondry wrote the script, which centers on a spy from the Cold War era who comes out of retirement to work with a younger agent to confront a domestic terrorism threat provoked by Russia.
According to Variety, the film will be produced by Michelle Manning, David Greenblatt and Anthony Bagarozzi.
Gibson will begin shooting in March the independent action drama "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," based on a screenplay he wrote. Gibson also recently committed to direct Leonardo DiCaprio in a film about Viking culture to be financed by GK Films.
