Worthington could sink teeth into 'Dracula'

"Avatar" actor Sam Worthington is in negotiations to star in "Dracula Year Zero" for Universal Pictures.
According to Variety, Alex Proyas ("The Crow," "Dark City") is directing the film.
Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless are writing the script.
Universal is keeping the logline under wraps, but it is believed that the story will explore the origin of Dracula, mixing vampire mythology with the true history of Prince Vlad the Impaler. Dracula will be presented as a flawed hero in a tragic love story.
Michael De Luca is producing "Dracula Year Zero."
Worthington will next be seen in a remake of "Clash of the Titans."
