Paul Dano to take on 'Ellen'

Paul Dano has signed on to star in the independent drama "For Ellen."
According to Variety, So Yong Kim ("In Between Days") will direct from her own screenplay.
The story will center on a struggling indie rocker who, after almost wrecking his car during an overnight drive, gets stranded in a small Midwestern town.
Jon Heder has signed on to co-star.
Jen Gatien and Bradley Rust Gray are producing. Dano, Dave Berlin and Tricia Quick are executive producing.
The film will begin production in upstate New York next month.
Dano can be seen in the upcoming film "The Extra Man."
