Daniel Craig could join 'Cowboys'
By Adnan Tezer Jan 14, 2010, 2:49 GMT
DreamWorks and Jon Favreau are in negotiations with Daniel Craig to play the lead in the long-in-the-works "Cowboys and Aliens" after Robert Downey Jr. left the project.
Craig has been offered the role of Zeke Johnson in the film, based on the 2006 graphic novel about a group of Apache Indians and Western settlers who join forces when an alien spaceship crash-lands in their city.
According to Variety, representatives for Craig said it was too early to comment on whether the actor would board the film which Favreau is writing and directing.
With production on the next James Bond film undecided, Craig may have the time to shoot "Cowboys and Aliens" now.
