John Malkovich has replaced actor John C. Reilly in Summit Entertainment's espionage thriller "Red."
Malkovich joins a cast that includes Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis.
"Red" is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian, with DC Comics executive Gregory Noveck executive producing. Robert Schwentke is directing from a script written by brothers Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber.
According to Variety, Summit acquired rights to the WildStorm/DC comicbook "Red" last year. The story follows a former black-ops CIA agent hunted by a high-tech assassin.
"Red" will go into production this month in Toronto and Louisiana. The film will be released Nov. 19.
