'Babel' actress to join 'Thor' cast

Mexican actress Adriana Barraza is in negotiations to join the cast of Marvel Studios' "Thor."
Kenneth Branagh is directing a cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
The movie centers on Thor, the god of thunder, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions re-ignite an ancient war.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie begins shooting next week at Marvel's Manhattan Beach, California studios.
Barraza was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in 2006's "Babel." Her most recent English-language appearance was in Sam Raimi's "Drag Me to Hell.
