Sam Mendes in talks to direct next Bond film

Sam Mendes is in negotiations to direct the 23'rd film of the James Bond franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the production for "Bond 23" is being fast-tracked and could begin as early as June with a 2011 release in mind.
Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are writing the script, along with "Frost/Nixon" writer Peter Morgan. Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are producing. Daniel Craig is already signed on as 007.
Marc Forster directed the previous Bond film, 2008's "Quantum of Solace."
Mendes' films include 1999’s Oscar-winning "American Beauty;" 2002’s "Road to Perdition;" 2005’s "Jarhead;" 2008’s "Revolutionary Road;" and 2009’s "Away We Go."
