Steve Carell, Tina Fey closing in on 'Groom'
By Adnan Tezer Dec 18, 2009, 2:15 GMT
Steve Carell and Tina Fey are loosely attached to star in the Warner Brothers comedy "Mail-Order Groom."
The story revolves around a naïve, unlucky in love, single woman who ends up with a husband from Eastern Europe.
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are doing a rewrite of the script, which was originally written by Robert Carlock and Scott Silveri. The story is based on an idea by Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, as well as Carlock and Silveri.
Carell's Carousel Prods. and Fey's Little Stranger are producing "Groom."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project has no director at this time and shooting would have to be when Carell and Fey are on hiatus of their TV shows, "The Office" and "30 Rock," respectively.
Carell and Fey already have one film in the can together; next year’s "Date Night."
