Martini has a 'Secret'

Writer-director Derick Martini has set up his second film at Paramount.

According to Variety, the studio has acquired Martini's original comedic screenplay "I Am My Family's Secret" and has attached him to direct as well.

The film will be produced by Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's Montecito Picture Co. and distributed by Paramount.

Story revolves around two very different brothers who discover their parents have been covering up a life-changing secret for over 20 years.

"Lymelife," Martini's directorial debut, was executive produced by Martin Scorsese and starred Alec Baldwin, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Kieran Culkin and Cynthia Nixon. It won the International Critic’s Award at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival.
