Viola Davis has two new roles

Viola Davis has booked roles in Focus Features’ "It’s Kind of a Funny Story," opposite Zach Galifianakis, and the David Schwimmer-directed drama "Trust" for Millennium Films.

"Funny Story" centers on a clinically depressed 15-year-old who checks himself into an adult psychiatric ward. According to Variety, Davis will play the psychiatrist who provides him with the help he needs.

"Trust" revolves around a family who must deal with the fallout after their 14-year-old daughter is victimized by an adult who gained her trust posing as a teenager on a chat room. Davis will play the counselor assigned to the girl’s case. Clive Owen and Catherine Keener have already been cast as the girl’s parents.

Davis’ breakout role in "Doubt" earned her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination in 2009.
