Tillman wants to be 'Faster'

CBS Films is negotiating with George Tillman Jr. to direct "Faster," an action drama that will star Dwayne Johnson.

Johnson will play an ex-con obsessed with avenging the murder of his brother.

According to Variety, Joe and Tony Gayton wrote the script.

Tillman last directed the Notorious B.I.G. biopic, "Notorious."

Tillman's State Street partner, Bob Teitel will produce alongside Castle Rock's Martin Shafer and Liz Glotzer. Joe Gayton will executive produce.

The film, a co-production between CBS Films and Sony Worldwide Acquisitions Group, will begin production in January.
