Bernal is 'Earthbound'

Gael Garcia Bernal is in negotiations to join Kate Hudson in the romantic film "Earthbound."

The film is about a terminally ill woman who falls in love with her doctor. Production is set to begin on January 18, 2010.

According to Variety, Nicole Kassell ("The Woodsman") will direct Gren Wells' script.

John Davis, Mark Gill, Robert Katz and Adam Schroeder are producing with Neil Sacker and Michael Goguen executive producing.
