Nicolas Cage nixes 'Green Hornet'

Nicolas Cage will not be joining the cast of Columbia’s “The Green Hornet” which stars Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz and Jay Chou.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cage was to play the villain in Columbia’s action movie, being directed by Michel Gondry, but the actor and the studio were not able to come to terms on a deal.

Columbia had no comment but sources said the studio is searching for a new villain.

Principal photography began in Los Angeles last week. The Green Hornet will hit the big screen without help from Nicolas Cage. @Cover Art from 1989's NOW comic series.
