Haggis to work for 'Days'

Lionsgate will be teaming with filmmaker Paul Haggis for his latest feature, the thriller "The Next Three Days," an adaptation of the French film "Pour Elle."

According to Variety, Haggis will handle writing and directing duties for the film. “Days” centers on an ordinary couple finding themselves in a dangerous situation and having to make life-altering choices that will test the limits of love.

It will be the first collaboration between Haggis and Lionsgate since 2004’s "Crash," for which Haggis received Academy Awards for motion picture and original screenplay.

Haggis and Michael Nozik will produce "The Next Three Days" through their production company Highway 61 Films, along with Marc Missonnier and Olivier Delbosc of Fidélité Films.

Shooting will begin in August.
