Rather than a remake they should make it a sequel. Which includes re-shot scenes using the new cast...there are a great many exploits and myths still not yet touched upon. The Harryhausen films stand on their own and no one should attempt to RE-DO them because the skill/craftsmanship that went in to the making of those films is long a thing of the past and CGI is now the current favored method.
So rather than bury the memories of the old great films of Harryhausen they should expand upon them with acknowledgement and furthering the exploits of the Heroes in those films. Kids today..won't sit still for those old films..but..if you lead them to them they will discover an entire world they never knew existed. The world of RAY HARRYHAUSEN.
