Gore Verbinski he will not be directing a fourth 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie.
Speaking to trade magazine Variety the director said "I had a fantastic time bringing 'Pirates' to life, and I am eternally grateful to Jerry, Johnny and the rest of the creative and production team."
Verbinski's upcoming projects are likely to include an adaptation of smash gaming hit 'Bioshock,' an underwater utopian dream gone badly wrong.
The fourth 'Pirates' film has not been given the go ahead as yet, but it is expected that Johnny Depp will return as Captain Jack Sparrow at some point.
