Michael Rispoli has been cast in 'The Rum Diary.'
Based on the novel by Hunter S. Thompson, 'The Rum Diary' is a tangled love story of jealousy, treachery and violent alcoholic lust in the Caribbean boomtown that was San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the late 1950s. A place where Paul Kemp is 30, trapped in a dead end job, and sees his dreams of being a writer fading fast.
Variety reports Rispoli will play news photographer Bob Sala in the movie.
Already cast are Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Richard Jenkins and Giovanni Ribisi.
The movie is currently filming in Puerto Rico.
