Miramax Films gets to grips with 'The Baster'

Jennifer Aniston stars as a woman desperate for a child in 'The Baster.' © Solarpix / PR PhotosVariety reports the movie stars Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Jeff Goldblum and Patrick Wilson.The movie is based on a short story by Jeffrey Eugenides and follows two friends, Wally (Bateman) and Kassie (Aniston). Kassie is hoping to have a baby on her own via sperm donation. However, things get complicated when Wally decides to swap the donated sperm for his own. Goldblum will play Wally's boss and Wilson the original donor.Will Speck and Josh Gordon are directing from a script by Allan Loeb'The Baster' started filming this week in New York.
