Robert Rodriguez heads into the future with Dimension. © Austin Gorum / PR PhotosVariety reports Rodriguez is set to write and direct the film, and has already set an April 16th, 2010, release date.The film’s plot is set in 2085, and follows a man named Joe Tezca. He is a member of an elite unit sent to stop a crime wave happening in a supposed perfect society.Rodriguez has a long history with Dimension – which released "Sin City," and the "Spy Kids" franchise. He is currently a producer on the upcoming remake of “Red Sonja” with Rose McGowan handling the title role.
