John Stevenson, Joel Silver and WB bringing He-Man to the big screen

He-Man is getting the live-action big screen treatment once again with Warner Bros., producer Joel Silver, and "Kung Fu Panda" co-director John Stevenson set to give the Mattel toy line an all new adventure. Cover art from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - Volume One.Variety reports Silver will produce the film through his Silver Pictures, and Mattel’s Barry Waldo is set to executive produce. Stevenson has been hired to direct the film. Warner Bros. picked up the screen rights to the property in 2007. Justin Marks has turned in a first draft of the screenplay based on a story he wrote with Neil Ellice.The film will follow a prince who is transformed into the ultimate warrior, named He-Man, who takes on a villain named Skeletor in a magical world.The Mattel toy line was a successful television animated series ("He-Man and the Masters of the Universe") in the 1980s, and was brought to the big screen as a live-action film in 1987 with Dolph Lungdren as He-Man and Frank Langella (“Frost/Nixon”) as Skeletor.Popular toy lines from the 1980s have become franchise hopefuls in Hollywood thanks to the success of DreamWorks/Paramount “Transformers” live-action adaptation (the sequel "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" hits screens on June 26), and the upcoming adaptation of “G.I. Joe” - which Paramount will release on Aug. 7th.

This could cool I think that Australian actor Travis Fimmel should play He-Man for the Silver Pictures Masters Of The Universe film adaptation.

I think that making a he-man trilogy is awesome and it will bring in money at the box office, and gain a lot of fan.
