Mickey Rourke has signed to join the cast of Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming action film "The Expendables" for Nu Image/Millennium Films.

Variety reports Rourke will join Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Dolph Lungdren on the film. Forest Whitaker and Ben Kingsley are in talks to join the cast.
Stallone wrote the film’s script and is set to start shooting in March with locations in Brazil. It is produced by Avi Lerner, John Tompson and Kevin King Templeton. Boaz Davidson, Trevor Short and Danny Dimbort are executive producing.
Rourke has signed to play an arms dealer who is the supplier for a group of mercenaries sent to take out a South American dictator.
The actor has also signed to star in Gela Babluani’s remake “13” – based on the French thriller "13 Tzameti." The remake will see Rourke on screen with Statham, Ray Winstone, Sam Riley, 50 Cent and Ray Liotta.
