Stephen Chow will not direct "The Green Hornet," but will still handle the role of Kato. Chow in "Kung Fu Hustle."Variety reports Columbia and producer Neal Moritz are at work finding a new director for the project – which is still set to start production in the spring. The film was written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Rogen is attached for the lead role.“The Green Hornet” started as a radio program in the 1930s and became popular as a ‘60s television series which featured Bruce Lee as Kato. The big screen adaptation has been bounced around for several years, and has gone through several actors – including George Clooney.Chow (“Kung Fu Hustle” and “Shaolin Soccer) signed to star and direct the film in September, but has passed on the director chores reportedly due to creative differences.
