Jokinen is set to make his feature directing debut with the film based on a script he wrote with Robert Orr. Erin Cressida Wilson ("Secretary") was hired to do a re-write on the film’s script.The film is scheduled to shoot on the East Coast and will be fully financed by HS Media – which is the Cyrte Investments parent company of Hammer and Spitfire Pictures.For the film, Swank will handle the role of a doctor who moves into a Brooklyn loft and starts to believe she is not alone in her new home. She also discovers that her landlord is a stalker.Hammer Films’ Simon Oakes and Nigel Sinclair are set to produce the film with Guy East. Tobin Armbrust, Alex Brunner, Tom Lassally and Swank will handle executive producing chores on the film."The Resident" is the second film to get underway since the Hammer Films banner was re-launched. The studio just finished up work on the low-budget film “The Wake Wood” – which was shot in Ireland.Swank will return to the big screen in “Amelia” with Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor.
