Meryl Streep is a small town librarian for screen adaptation of "Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World." Meryl Streep - "Mamma Mia!" Temple Hill Entertainment’s Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are lined up to produce the film with Jerry Kalajian and Pete Harris.For the film, Streep will handle the role of the author – who works at the local library and takes in a stray kitten that gets into the library through an after-hours book return. The cat becomes the library mascot.The film is the latest production for Temple Hill – who helped bring “Twilight” to the big screen and is at work on the Jennifer Aniston flick "Management." The company is currently in production on the Lasse Hallstrom film "Dear John."
